Located on the ground floor of the Jade Residences at Brickell Bay, the gallery will provide convenient access to collectors and dealers in the United States as well as in Central and South America. On the heels of their recently opened Copenhagen office, Stack’s Bowers Galleries is thrilled to again increase their global presence, providing unsurpassed expertise to numismatic collectors worldwide. Renovations for the Miami gallery are in their final stages with the opening scheduled for late March or early April.

Mark Schimel, Director of East Coast Retail commented “With scores of old friends that have moved down to Florida over the years we are delighted to now provide a convenient, local gallery to serve our past, current and future clients.”

Staffed by top numismatic professionals, as collectors have come to expect from Stack’s Bowers Galleries, this office will be led by Head Numismatist William (Bill) Conroy. His superb reputation, extensive customer relationships and numismatic expertise have kept Bill at the top of the field throughout his career. Bill was Chief Numismatist at Superior Galleries, a grader at Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and a Grader/Finalizer at Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC).

Joining Bill will be Andrés Cortázar, Director of Consignments, whose expertise in Latin American numismatics has long been recognized in the hobby. He was Numismatic Advisor for the Colombian Central Bank and for the Casa de la Moneda de Bogota Museum, as well as former President of Numiscol, a non-profit institution devoted to research and the sharing of numismatic information in Colombia for more than 50 years. Rounding out the Miami team will be Senior Numismatist Justin Katz, who brings decades of experience operating his own firm, and Numismatist Hernán Urrutia, another well-known and highly respected specialist.

The Miami location will offer the firm’s entire range of numismatic services. Collectors will be able to sell their coins and paper money for top market value and browse an extensive selection of items available for direct purchase. Dealers within the numismatic trade will be able to access Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ wholesale trading department to buy and sell. The gallery will also serve as an important resource for gold and silver bullion trading, appraisals and accepting consignments to the firm’s robust auction schedule.

“We are thrilled with the upcoming opening in Miami and the addition of such world-class numismatic talent to our team,” said Stack’s Bowers Galleries President Brian Kendrella. “From this new location in Miami, we look forward to serving local collectors and dealers as well as those visiting the lovely city of Miami for business or pleasure.”
