The National Coin & Bullion Association (NCBA), the industry’s leading advocacy organization for the numismatic and precious metals bullion community since 1983, proudly recognizes Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC) as one of its most important and longest-running supporters.

NGC, established in 1987 and the world’s leading third-party certification service for coins, tokens, and medals, has demonstrated an extraordinary long-term commitment to the health of the industry it serves.

For many years, thousands of dealers and collectors who have submitted coins, tokens, and medals to NGC have voluntarily chosen to make a separate contribution to NCBA in addition to their grading fees. NGC administers this highly successful program at no cost and remits 100% of the contributions directly to the association. These funds have become a vital pillar of NCBA’s ability to

  • Preserve precious-metals and numismatic sales-tax exemptions in 45 states,
  • Oppose excessive state and federal regulations on dealers,
  • Protect the public from counterfeits through Hobby Protection Act enforcement and education,
  • Monitor and respond to every legislative threat across all 50 states and Washington, D.C., and
  • Advocate for new US Mint programs that grow collector interest and dealer sales.

“NCBA is deeply grateful to NGC and the many thousands of dealers and collectors who have participated in this program over the years,” said David Crenshaw, executive director of NCBA. “Their sustained generosity, channeled through NGC’s leadership, has enabled us to achieve victory after victory on behalf of dealers and the entire numismatic community.”
