Obverse Description

The Augustus Saint-Gaudens' design that depicts a full portrait of Liberty atop rays of sunlight surrounded by stars and the word LIBERTY on the top periphery. The date, in roman numerals, is positioned to the right of Liberty's left knee.

Reverse Description

A crescent sun appears at the bottom as if rising on the horizon with long rays extending to the top of the coin. A flying eagle covers the central portion, atop the rays. The words UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, TWENTY DOLLARS appear on the top periphery. IN GOD WE TRUST is written above the sun.
